The City of Austin has made an announcement regarding waterways in the area. A portion of the waterways ban is set to expire, allowing for the reopening of Lake Austin for recreational use. This change is scheduled to take effect at 5 p.m.
The ban, however, will remain in place for certain areas south of Longhorn Dam. Further details on the ban and the reopening of Lake Austin can be found through the City of Austin's announcement.
For those in Barton Creek, more information on the updated waterways ban and Lake Austin's reopening is available from the City of Austin's original statement.
